Make Smoking History forChildren

Over 10,000 people in the region and many more nationally have signed postcards supporting measures aimed at making smoking history for children.

We are pressing the Government to put cigarettes out of sight in shops and remove cigarette vending machines. These are known to attract teenagers to smoking and give them positive images of cigarettes.

We are urging our region's MPs to stand up on behalf of all the families across the region who want to protect their children from cigarette marketing and promotion. Around 340,000 children try their first cigarette each year.
