Fresh has been at the forefront of developing successful, insight led campaigns that have changed behaviour around tobacco in the North East, triggering tens of thousands of responses.
We have worked with the NHS, local authorities and government departments to develop these, and a number of our campaigns have been rolled out in other parts of the UK. Our most recent campaign which launched in 2020 was Don't Wait - an appeal from respiratory consultant Dr Ruth Sharrock for smokers to quit.
We have developed messages to ensure North East smokers are aware of the risks of smoking and the benefits to themselves and their family of quitting. Campaigns have focused on the impact of smoking releated diseases on family, the links between smoking and COPD, the risks of secondhand smoke to children, the tobacco industry's marketing ploys, and most of all the benefits of quitting and the many forms of help available nationally and locally to make quitting easier.
